Together, we may be surprised
In this piece, I respond to Huang's commentary on climate geopoetics, briefly tracing and addressing two main threads: the tensions that arise when environmental poetry is woven into institutional and governance frameworks, and geopoetics as community practice. The entanglements between poetry, revolution, governance, communication, and resistance run deep across time and space. I agree with a call for a geopoetics that is plural, a meeting place of a multiplicity of voices, images, energies, times, and practices. I conclude with a poem written for Huang.
