Simultaneous physiotherapy in rehabilitation of patients with combined trauma
Objective. To evaluate the effectiveness of a personalized program of stage III (outpatient) rehabilitation in patients with combined trauma (traumatic brain injury and fracture of tubular bones of lower extremities) with inclusion of simultaneous exposure to electroneurostimulation and low-frequency magnetic field. Material and methods. There were 68 patients with combined trauma, who were randomized into 2 groups: control group (n=33) — rehabilitation program based on clinical recommendations; main group (n=35) — simultaneous exposure to electroneurostimulation and low-frequency magnetic field. Effectiveness of monitoring was assessed using validated scales. Results. The overall effectiveness of stage III (outpatient) rehabilitation in patients with combined trauma when using a comprehensive program with inclusion of simultaneous physiotherapy was 88.4%, effectiveness of standardized program — 72.6%. This advantage is explained by analgesic, trophic, psycho- and vegetocorrective therapeutic effects under the influence of comprehensive rehabilitation. This led to restoration of impaired body functions. Conclusion. Inclusion of simultaneous exposure to electroneurostimulation and low-frequency magnetic field in stage III (outpatient) rehabilitation of patients with combined trauma promotes earlier restoration of impaired body functions.
