A Century Farm Journal

Abstract 2026 marks the centennial of Agricultural History, the official publication of the Agricultural History Society. This forum brings together the journal's current editor, two past editors, and two scholars who have edited periodicals in related fields to reflect on this century of scholarly publication, the broader field, and the future of both. Topics of discussion include the evolution of the journal's publishing model, shifts in historiography, the increasingly international composition of journal authors, the role of editorial guidance, the place of theory in agricultural history, and the opportunities and challenges posed by current technological developments.
