Association between air sampling for viral respiratory pathogens and acute respiratory tract infection cases in the emergency department
Abstract The emergency department (ED) is a common site for respiratory viral surveillance, but air sampling has not been thoroughly explored in this setting. In this study, we observed a significant association between COVID-19, influenza A, and RSV detection via air sampling in an ED waiting room and clinical viral testing.
