Lessons Learned: Reflections on EJScreen’s History and Future
Based upon his over ten years of experience leading the deployment and evolution of the U.S. EPA’s EJScreen, a former EPA official shares some of the most important lessons learned regarding the creation, growth, and use of such tools. These lessons are shared both to document the important history of EJScreen in addition to help inform the continually growing field of research and development of data and visualization tools that help inform engagement, drive policy, and ultimately make our society healthier, safer, and more just. These lessons end with a hopeful vision of where the ongoing efforts of many advocates, academicians, and others can lead to in the future.
