EVIDENCE OF CLL DEVELOPMENT FROM HEMATOPOIETIC PROGENITOR CELLS IN HUMANS
Two siblings developed CLL after allogeneic transplantation from one to the other. Despite sharing the same precursors, the CLL clones displayed distinct IG gene rearrangements and genomic aberrations. Shared MED12 and NOTCH1 mutations suggest NOTCH pathway involvement in disease predisposition.
