Comparative genomics reveals hidden genetic determinants of wheat gluten quality
Integrating comparative genomics, QTL mapping and haplotype association revealed variation associated with wheat gluten quality. Structural variants may have larger effects and epistasis provided additional predictive information. These findings highlight structural variation and epistasis as important considerations for breeding wheat with improved gluten quality.
