THE IMPORTANCE OF CONVENIENT TRANSIT-ORIENTED PLACEMENT OF PUBLIC SPACES IN NEW RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS

The purpose of the study is to substantiate the architectural and urban planning significance of conveniently locating public spaces in new residential developments close to public transport stops and in pedestrian-friendly locations. A comparative analysis of international academic literature was conducted. Public spaces located near transport nodes ensure a steady flow of users, reduce dependence on private cars, and contribute to the revitalization of everyday social life. The study considers the importance of integrated planning of public spaces and transport nodes.
