Open surgical interventions for false aneurysm of proximal aorto-prosthetic anastomosis
False aneurysm of proximal anastomosis of aorto-femoral bypass graft is an extremely dangerous long-term postoperative complication in reconstructive aortic surgery. The most common option for correction of this event is redo open intervention. In recent years, there have been publications on positive results of endovascular technologies. There are various options for reconstruction of proximal anastomosis depending on situation. In 2010—2024, 672 aorto-femoral reconstructions were performed at the Yaroslavl Regional Clinical Hospital. There were 9 patients with false aneurysms of proximal aorto-prosthetic anastomosis (1.3%). The purpose of this study is to present surgical options for patients with false aneurysms of aorto-prosthetic anastomosis. Appropriate examples are presented.
