Complete mitogenome of the Fukien Gold-Striped pond frog Pelophylax fukienensis (anura: ranidae: pelophylax ) and its phylogenetic implications
AbsractIn this study, we present the complete mitogenome of Pelophylax fukienensis assembled from Illumina sequencing data. The mitogenome of P. fukienensis is a circular molecule of 17,514 bp in length and comprises 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, and two ribosomal RNA genes. Phylogenetic analysis reveals that P. fukienensis clusters closely with P. mongolius and forms a well-supported monophyletic clade within the genus Pelophylax. These findings provide valuable molecular insights that contribute to taxonomic delineation and phylogenetic reconstruction of the genus Pelophylax.
