Dermatopathology
A 42-year-old woman presented with multiple asymptomatic, long-standing skin-coloured nodules affecting the scalp, left temple hairline, and right eyebrow. Histopathological examination demonstrated distinct adnexal tumours, including cylindromas and a trichoepithelioma. The presence of multiple tumour types is characteristic of CYLD cutaneous syndrome, a rare autosomal dominant condition associated with CYLD mutations. This case highlights the importance of recognising key histological features, particularly the “jigsaw pattern” of cylindroma, in establishing the diagnosis.
