Peran Generasi Muda Dalam Mengurangi Tindak Kekerasan Dan Membangun Budaya Damai Di Lingkungan Kampus Sebagai Implementasi SDG 16
This study examines the role of university students as agents of change in reducing violence and fostering a culture of peace within the campus environment as an effort to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16. The background of this study is rooted in the shift of violence in the digital era, from physical conflicts to cyber-based violence such as cyberbullying and hate speech, which are often driven by low levels of digital literacy. Using a qualitative literature review method, secondary data were collected from relevant scientific journals and academic documents and analyzed through a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings indicate that students hold a strategic position in mitigating violence through strengthening anti-violence character, disseminating positive content on social media, and actively participating in student organizations. The study concludes that the implementation of peace education in higher education institutions is effective in fostering tolerance and empathy. Strong synergy between students and the academic community is a key factor in creating a safe, inclusive, and equitable campus environment, thereby supporting the success of the global vision of peace.
