MACROSCOPE — Case Studies Part One

This preprint presents Case Studies Part One of the Macroscope research program. It applies the fixed Macroscope parameter register to two deliberately contrasting cases: Operation Northwoods as a source-rich but trajectory-poor documentary case, and the visual Mandela effect as a response-rich but source-poor distributed information pattern. The paper evaluates representational portability without introducing case-specific Macroscope variables or assigning values to quantities that are not identifiable from the available evidence. It also develops two prospective research stages. Stage I specifies a preregistration-ready conventional misinformation-cascade experiment using provenance-resolved recursive flow. Stage II defines a separate Macroscope-specific methodological program for identifying the registered phase-memory state, independently calibrating accumulation and loss, and prospectively testing the local growth/loss prediction implied by the registered reproduction ratio \(R_{IA}\). The work is presented as a methodological and case-study contribution to the Macroscope project. It does not claim validation of the full framework, Information-Attractor status for the studied cases, or evidence for mechanisms outside ordinary cognitive and communication processes.
