Computational Aeroacoustics of Bio-Inspired Riblets: A 2500 Hz Passive Deterrent System for Wind Energy
This repository provides the 3D geometry and CFD simulation data for a novel, bio-inspired wind turbine blade. Featuring engineered surface riblets and tuned resonant cavities, the design passively generates a 2500 Hz aeroacoustic whistle during operation. This non-invasive deterrent specifically targets the auditory range of birds and bats, effectively mitigating wildlife collisions without compromising the turbine's overall aerodynamic efficiency.
