AN ASSESSMENT OF THE EFFECTS OF NON-FINANCIAL COMPENSATION ON EMPLOYEES’ PERFORMANCE IN JULIUS BERGER NIGERIA PLC, ABUJA
This study examines “An Assessment of the Effects of Nonfinancial Compensation on Employee Performance in Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Abuja. The data used for this study was obtained through a structured and a close-ended questionnaire. The population size used for this study was 12,221 employees of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc in Abuja. The sample size used for this study was three hundred and eighty-seven (387) respondents. While the sampling technique adopted for the study was the stratified random sampling technique. The data collected were presented using tables and analyzed with simple percentages, while multiple regression analysis and ANOVA was used to test the hypotheses. The research findings revealed that reward, medical benefits, time off and time flexibility have positive significant impact on employee commitment, work output, satisfaction and employee morale in Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Abuja. The study concluded that by implementing strategies that prioritize recognition, time flexibility, rewards, and opportunity for development, organizations can enhance employee experiences and ultimately achieve better performance and organizational outcomes. The study recommended that Julius Berger Nigeria Plc should strengthen its recognition programs to further engaged and motivate employees. The organization should continue to support and promote time flexibility options for employees as well as ensure that its rewards system is fair, transparent, and aligned with employees' performance and contributions
