The Role of Elegiac Motifs in Revealing the Hero’s Psychology
This article is devoted to an analysis of Togay Murad’s novella “The Stars Burn Forever.” In the work, wrestling values serve as a means of examining socio-ethical problems, and the character of Buri Polvon is interpreted as a symbol of honesty, honor, and spiritual resolve. The article shows that the author, in presenting his conceptual judgment of existing reality, generalizes the dishonesty and baseness of certain characters to the level of a social type. It is demonstrated that, in the plot of the novella, scenes of external struggle are harmonized with inner psychological turmoil, revealing the process of overcoming an elegiac mood. The study employs comparative-typological, psychological, and sociological methods of analysis. The research findings are summarized, and general conclusions are drawn.
