Comprehensive geriatric assessments are recommended to address polypharmacy and inappropriate prescribing during unplanned hospitalizations of older adults; however, there is limited study of these practices in emergency departments. This study described changes in prescribing following comprehensive geriatric assessment and patient experiences in a tertiary emergency department in Western Australia.
