A Logical Critique of Time Stop at the Speed of Light and Time Travel Beyond It
This paper presents a logical critique of the commonly repeated claim that time stops at the speed of light and reverses beyond it. Drawing on Einstein's special relativity, particularly time dilation and the Lorentz factor, it is shown that the inference of stopped or reversed time results from extending the equations beyond their domain of validity. For any massive object, reaching the speed of light would require infinite energy, making v = c physically unattainable. For massless particles such as photons, proper time is undefined, not zero. Claims of time travel via superluminal motion rely on imaginary quantities and coordinate effects, not on a physical reversal of causality. Time is therefore understood not as a substance that flows or halts, but as a measure of change within valid physical frames.ඔ
