A system for FAIR assessment of computational biology models and simulations based on RDA indicators

Abstract Computational models are essential for studying complex systems. We adapted the Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability (FAIR) indicators established by the Research Data Alliance to assess models encoded in domain-specific standards, including those developed by the COMBINE community. The resulting FAIR assessments guide FAIRification and, in turn, improve the transparent communication of a model’s features, capabilities, and provenance, particularly in clinical settings.

Abstract

Abstract Computational models are essential for studying complex systems. We adapted the Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability (FAIR) indicators established by the Research Data Alliance to assess models encoded in domain-specific standards, including those developed by the COMBINE community. The resulting FAIR assessments guide FAIRification and, in turn, improve the transparent communication of a model’s features, capabilities, and provenance, particularly in clinical settings.
