How to promote new energy power generation: Research on the operation strategy of virtual power plant with the participation of computing power enterprises

In the context of power market development, the power demand of computing power enterprises is on the rise. As an important link, the operation mode of virtual power plants (VPP) affects the power market and the growth of new energy power generation, and is restricted by many factors, such as thermal power costs. From the perspective of the power supply chain, this paper establishes a model that includes energy producers, VPP (Power Type, Load Type, and Energy Type) and computing power enterprises, introduces the differential game strategy, and studies the impact of different factors on new energy power generation. The study found that the increase in new energy subsidies had a significant impact on the proportion of new energy power generation in the power mix, and the subsidy policy was an important means to promote new energy power generation, but excessive dependence on it should be avoided. The change in thermal power costs affects the generation decisions of green power enterprises and the operation strategies of VPP, and market regulation needs to be comprehensively considered. Different types of VPP have different sensitivities to operation and maintenance costs as well as penalty and loss costs. Power Type, Load Type, and Energy Type VPP each have their own applicable scenarios and advantages.
