A Simulation Mathematical Model of the Operation of a Road Section for Industrial Transport

Objective: to forecast traffic flow patterns along constructed road sections for industrial transport in order to analyze their operation processes, obtain estimates of the output parameters of various proposed technical solutions, and compare them. The ultimate goal of designing roads for industrial transport is to select the best technical solution from among possible alternatives, ensuring high efficiency and quality of the constructed facility. Methods: the study utilizes a comparative analysis framework and parametric modeling to evaluate and select the optimal engineering solution from a set of alternatives. Results: the article presents an experimental factor model. It is based on the dependence of vehicle convoy speed estimates on priority factors: the limiting width of the roadway, the radius of the small- radius horizontal curve, and the longitudinal slope. Practical significance: the calculation results allowed the development of specialized nomograms for predicting the flow speed along the constructed section.
