Love in Historical Reality and Philosophy
This study compares two independent investigations of love. The first examined relationships and actions captured by love and related terms in historical documents and language use from Joseon to the present and proposed nine patterns. The second examined philosophical definitions of love and the activities through which love is realized from antiquity to the present and proposed eight provisional types. The purpose is not to merge the classifications, but to distinguish common areas, differences, and residual elements and to examine what they imply for Affect + Typology.
