Recent examples of (3+2) cycloaddition reactions between conjugated nitroalkenes and sodium azide (microreview)
This microreview critically discusses and analyzes the latest (3+2) cycloaddition reactions of azide anion derived from sodium azide to conjugated nitroalkenes and their analogues, published since 2015. These studies allow us to diagnose the relationship between the structure of the electrophilic component and its activity. Furthermore, the range of synthetic protocols used is quite broad, encompassing practically all 2‑substituted and 1,2-disubstituted nitroethenes.
