الدلالة الاجتماعية والأنثروبولوجيا اللغوية: تشكيل صورتي البدوي والحضري في كتابي "الأمالي" لأبي علي القالي و"العقد الفريد" لابن عبد ربه
This study examines how the labels “Bedouin” and “Bedouin woman,” together with three forms of urban presence—explicit, institutional, and editorial—construct social personae in a bounded set of textual cases from Abū ʿAlī al-Qālī’s Al-Amālī and Ibn ʿAbd Rabbih’s Al-ʿIqd al-Farīd. It addresses a recurring limitation in descriptive readings of Bedouin eloquence: quoted speech is often detached from speaker labels, transmission chains, headings, glosses, institutional settings, and narrative outcomes, while named urban figures are conflated with institutional actors and editorial mediation. The study develops a multilayered qualitative protocol linking label, stylistic resource, interactional scene, mediation, metapragmatic evaluation, social outcome, and counter-reading. The findings show that the Bedouin label prepares a prior horizon for receiving brevity, rapid response, environmental lexicon, and moral directness, yet the value of these features shifts between wisdom and literalness and between autonomy and need. Urbanity is not a homogeneous persona: explicit naming is rare, while power is distributed between institutional actors who control space, procedure, and writing, and editorial agents who control selection, preservation, and explanation. The article’s main contribution is the operational concept of partial textual enregisterment, which adapts enregisterment to edited historical representation without treating reports as direct records of speech.
