Conservative Rehabilitation of a Structurally Compromised Mandibular First Molar Using Fiber Post and Interlig Reinforcement: A Case Report
AbstractRestoration of endodontically treated teeth remains a clinical challenge due to the loss of tooth structure and increased susceptibility to fracture. Fiber-reinforced restorative techniques have gained popularity because of their favorable biomechanical properties and ability to distribute functional stresses. This case report describes the management of a previously root canaltreated mandibular first molar using a fiber post and Interlig fiber reinforcement followed by direct composite restoration with proper occlusal anatomy.
