From Green Skills to Sustainable Business Development: The Role of Vocational Education, Green Business Strategy and Environmental Innovation
ABSTRACT Sustainable business development (SBD) has been the global requirement due to uncertainty of economic and environmental conditions around the globe. Thus, the present article investigates the green business strategies and environmental innovation role of the green dynamic capabilities (DC) and SBD in plastic waste recycling companies in Vietnam. The study also examines the mediating role of green DC among green business strategies, environmental innovation, and SBD as well as investigates the moderating role of vocational education among green business strategies, environmental innovation, and green DC. The study selected the employees of the waste recycling companies in Vietnam and collected the data from the respondents using survey questionnaires. The study also checks the data reliability using the measurement model and association among variables using the structural model through smart‐PLS. The outcomes revealed that the green business strategies and environmental innovation have a positive association with green DC and SBD. The results also exposed that the green DC significantly mediates among green business strategies, environmental innovation, and SBD and that vocational education significantly moderates among green business strategies, environmental innovation, and green DC. The policymakers could get guidance from the study regarding the development of new policies related to enhancing the SBD.
