PTSD, event segmentation and driving performance: a medico-legal perspective.
Greybo et al. reported associations between PTSD severity, neurocognitive impairment, altered event segmentation and neuroimaging findings in automobile drivers, but did not assess driving-specific outcomes. We argue that these group-level findings require validation against driving-specific cognitive measures, simulator performance and on-road or real-world outcomes before they can inform individualised medical fitness-to-drive assessments.
