Chaos from Random Circuits

Computational discovery of two verified chaotic electronic circuits via large-scale random topology search. 14,000 circuit topologies were screened; two chaotic circuits were verified with the 0-1 chaos test, broadband spectra, and independent Lyapunov exponent estimation (+17/s and +5.6/s, with negative-exponent controls). One find is memristor-heavy (3 memristors). No new attractor geometries were found — both are high-dimensional folded tangles. Includes the 19-page paper, LaTeX source, all three netlists, and the full hunter pipeline code for reproduction.

Abstract

Computational discovery of two verified chaotic electronic circuits via large-scale random topology search. 14,000 circuit topologies were screened; two chaotic circuits were verified with the 0-1 chaos test, broadband spectra, and independent Lyapunov exponent estimation (+17/s and +5.6/s, with negative-exponent controls). One find is memristor-heavy (3 memristors). No new attractor geometries were found — both are high-dimensional folded tangles. Includes the 19-page paper, LaTeX source, all three netlists, and the full hunter pipeline code for reproduction.
