How Much Does a Flight from the United States to Thailand Cost? Round-Trip and Domestic Fares, Ticket Charges and Airport Traffic from Fare-Search, Tariff and Airports of Thailand Statistics, Fiscal Years 2010–2026
Thailand has no nonstop air service from the United States, and its fares, ticket charges and airport traffic are documented in separate commercial and official sources. We combine fare-search data, US and Thai charge schedules and the fiscal-year traffic files of Airports of Thailand (AOT). A round trip from the United States to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, the cheapest arrival airport, averaged USD 484; the monthly median for the country ranged from USD 472 in February to USD 800 in June, and the average itinerary took 23 hours 6 minutes. Domestic round trips from Bangkok averaged USD 82 to Phuket and Krabi, USD 89 to Chiang Mai and USD 251 to Ko Samui, 3.1 times the Phuket fare. Thailand's international passenger service charge rose 53.4% to 1,120 baht (USD 33.57) for tickets issued from 20 June 2026; with USD 75.13 in US taxes and fees, fixed charges on a one-stop round trip came to USD 108.70. AOT's six airports handled 125,989,505 passengers in fiscal 2025 (October 2024 to September 2025), 5.6% more than in fiscal 2024 and 88.8% of fiscal 2019, and 444,944 international aircraft movements, 90.4% of fiscal 2019. Suvarnabhumi carried 62,663,405 passengers, twice Don Mueang, and 66.0% of all international passengers. International passengers peaked in January 2025 at 1.50 times the June low. The data are descriptive and the fare and traffic series cover different periods.
