DIGITAL TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES FOR ENGAGING ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING
This thesis examines the methodological potential of digital tools and technology-based techniques in English language teaching. The study focuses on the purposeful integration of interactive digital resources, multimedia materials, online quizzes, educational games, mobile applications, and digital storytelling. Particular attention is given to the relationship between technology, learner engagement, motivation, classroom interaction, and language-skill development. The research considers methodological conditions for selecting digital resources, designing technology-supported tasks, organizing learner interaction, and assessing language performance. The theoretical framework combines Uzbek methodological scholarship on foreign-language teaching with international research on computer-assisted language learning and technology-enhanced language education. The proposed framework distinguishes between a digital tool and the teaching technique through which that tool is incorporated into a lesson. Its practical orientation is reflected in adaptable activities for vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, writing, formative assessment, and digital storytelling.
