Rationality. A Global Survey
This study explores a semantic space formed by concepts historically used across linguistic and cultural traditions in connection with judgment, deliberation, wisdom, reason, grounds, appropriate conduct, and reliable cognition. The final analysis compares 63 items across 31 semantic and use features, combining Jaccard distance, MDS, network and consensus analysis, permutation tests, and genealogical and granularity audits. Korean sari, dori, ichi, premodern hapri, iseong, and modern hapriseong were historically investigated after the global structure had been constructed, followed by a full 63-item rerun. The results show both within-tradition cohesion and cross-traditional semantic proximity, with cores, bridges, boundaries, and peripheral positions coexisting in the same space. The Korean materials reveal an overlapping and historically reconfigured set of semantic resourcesrather than a single line of conceptual developmen
