Contextual processes (psychological flexibility, self-compassion and mindfulness) and peer bullying and cyberbullying in children and adolescents: protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis

Protocol (version 1.0, 3 October 2026) of a systematic review and meta-analysis on the association between contextual psychological processes (psychological flexibility or inflexibility, experiential avoidance, cognitive fusion, self-compassion and trait mindfulness) and peer bullying and cyberbullying (victimization and perpetration) in children and adolescents. The protocol is registered after the review has started. Section 1 states which steps were completed, started and not started at the time of registration. It sets out the eligibility criteria, information sources and literal search strings, study selection, data extraction, risk-of-bias assessment, synthesis and subgroup analyses. Artificial intelligence is used only as a tool under the direction of the authors, who make all decisions and are responsible for the content.
