Trade Interdependence as a Deterrence Weight: A Source-Checked Draft Branch of the Kantian Peace Framework

Trade Interdependence as a Deterrence Weight English abstract. This draft develops the trade interdependence branch of the Kantian Peace Framework. It presents a scale-compatible network ledger, one complete-information bargaining result, and six conditional results in separate reduced-form extensions: when coercive options are inactive, trade losses widen the peaceful bargaining interval under an efficient protocol; private substitutability can induce a hub to choose risky coercive screening; continuous target types yield pooling with zero war risk below the model threshold and smooth comparative statics only on the interior screening branch; non-contractible hub growth yields a preventive-war threshold; and reduced-form exit, enforcement, resilience, and brokerage parameters change leverage and screening risk under their stated conditions. These results do not form a single derived T1–T6 game. In a directed two-actor ultimatum benchmark, a positive feasible bargaining interval coexists with positive equilibrium war risk under private information. This conditional analytical result and its numerical counterexample do not derive a common T1–T6 game or establish empirical conflict effects. Neither a positive net deterrence ledger nor empirical causal effectiveness follows from lower screening risk alone. Deutsche Zusammenfassung. This first preprint presents conditional mathematical results in distinct reduced-form games. The directed bilateral ultimatum benchmark gives a conditional analytical result and a numerical counterexample. Neither a common T1–T6 game nor empirical causal effects are established. Version 4.6, 2026-10-03: Source-bound English and German drafts with actor/payoff separation, a distinct directed diagnostic ledger, and the descriptive Cha-A2 source discrepancy. The combined bilingual PDF remains internal.
