Towards a Tobacco Endgame in Hong Kong: A Pragmatic Model for the Asia‐Pacific
Key Points Hong Kong reduced daily conventional cigarette smoking prevalence from 23.3% in 1982 to 8.5% in 2025. This achievement reflects sustained integration of legislation, taxation, smoke‐free environments, product regulation, public education, and cessation support. The next phase should convert low prevalence into an explicit endgame strategy, supported by surveillance, policy evaluation, and proactive, tailored cessation support.
