Meeting the Moment, Dreaming Better: The Future of Children in Immigrant Families
As children in immigrant families comprise more than a quarter of the U.S. child population, policies impacting them have the potential to uplift – or undermine – the health of entire communities. Today, we are once again living in a pivotal moment when children in immigrant families are experiencing a disproportionate burden of societal and structural threats. Historical and current injustices, fueled by racism and xenophobia, manifest in daily disruptions to health care, education, and safety, leaving intergenerational consequences for health.
