Historical railways and stations of France, 1827–2001: a longitudinal GIS dataset
This dataset provides a longitudinal historical GIS of railway infrastructure in France. It combines two complementary vector layers in a single GeoPackage: RAILWAYS, which represents railway as line segments, and STATIONS, which records station locations. Each feature has temporal validity attributes, allowing users to reconstruct the railway network and station system for any chosen historical date.
