Questionnaire for "Current Aspects of Health and Education"

The study refers to the first recruitment wave of the 1KA probability web panel (Wave 0), formerly the pilot CDI panel, which the Centre for Social Informatics established within project V5-2157. The aim of the project is to examine the potential of a general-population probability web panel for the needs of official statistics, to shed light on survey costs and the quality of statistical estimates, and to develop comparative evaluation criteria. The Wave 0 questionnaire was purposely composed of replications of existing survey instruments of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (SURS), the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) and the Centre for Social Informatics (CDI). This enables a direct comparison of estimates obtained via the web panel with estimates from the original implementations of the same surveys, i.e., a methodological evaluation of the panel as a mode of data collection. The study was both a substantive survey and a methodological experiment. Five different incentive schemes for participants and two versions of the invitation text were also tested; the invitation versions differed in whether they mentioned cooperation with the Statistical Office and the National Institute of Public Health.
