COMPARATIVE COGNITIVE AND SEMANTIC ANALYSIS OF THE NATURAL ELEMENTS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LINGUACULTURES
This study explores the conceptualization of the four foundational natural elements Water, Earth, Air, and Fire within English and Uzbek linguacultures. By analyzing paremiological units, idioms, and cultural metaphors, this paper examines how language reflects both universal human cognition and unique socio-cultural worldviews. The research reveals that while both traditions share fundamental conceptual metaphors rooted in survival and natural phenomena, they diverge significantly in spiritual connotations, rituals, and socio-environmental adaptations. This comparative analysis contributes to cognitive linguistics, cultural linguistics, and cross-cultural communication.
