Association of WWI, ABSI, and BRI With Osteoporosis in China: A Prospective Screening Assessment
The association of weight-adjusted waist circumference index (WWI), a body shape index (ABSI), and body roundness index (BRI) with osteoporosis was evaluated. Comparative analysis of clinical and anthropometric data of a cross-sectional analysis of 4947 patients categorized by bone density was performed. Patients with osteoporosis exhibited significantly elevated WWI, ABSI, and BRI levels. After full adjustment, the highest WWI quartile demonstrated a 4.12-fold increased osteoporosis risk. Elevated WWI and ABSI are associated with osteoporosis and may serve as early screening indicators.
