WorldSense paradigm: A multi‐sensory framework for understanding reality
Abstract The WorldSense Paradigm offers a holistic framework for community psychology, integrating multi‐sensory cognition, relational ontology, ancestral guidance, environmental forces, and spiritual dynamics. By moving beyond the visual‐centric assumptions of Western epistemology, this paradigm provides a culturally grounded approach that is especially illustrative in African contexts, where ancestral, spiritual, and ecological interdependencies shape well‐being. Incorporating the WorldSense Paradigm into practice encourages community psychologists to engage with communities through multi‐modal, relational, and spiritually informed methodologies. By privileging these epistemologies, the paradigm addresses the limitations of Eurocentric frameworks, enabling practitioners to better capture lived realities, anticipate complex community dynamics, and co‐create interventions that resonate with culturally grounded ways of knowing.
