Realizations of adaptive array processors with directional and spectral constraints
The purpose of this thesis is to present a class of linearly constrained adaptive array processors. An adaptive array processor consists of an array of sensors followed by an adaptive multichannel filter. The relevant filter coefficients are updated by an adaptive algorithm such that the system responds to a signal coming from a desired direction with a preset/ constrained frequency response, while discriminating against noises whose power spectrums are not overlapped with the constrained frequency response and those coming from other directions.
