Scholarly Works and Editorial Activity of a Head of the Gas Industry of the Azerbaijan SSR (1960–1976): An Analytical Review of a Personal Archive

This note continues the publication of materials from the personal archive of Abutalib Mir Aga oglu (Miragayevich) Abdullayev (1912–1980), a leader of the gas and municipal economy of the Azerbaijan SSR, who headed the Bakgaz trust, the Ministry of Municipal Economy, Glavgaz, the Baku Main Gas Pipelines Directorate of the USSR Ministry of the Gas Industry, and the Aztransgaz Production Association. The study focuses on his scholarly publications and scientific editing activities from 1960 to 1976. The source base consists of a bibliographic selection of eight works: one monograph, five journal articles, two books published under his scientific editorship (1960), as well as two documents related to the defense of his candidate dissertation (1946). The appendix provides bibliographic descriptions, annotations, tables of contents, and scans of covers and content pages. These themes are closely tied to public life: the gasification of cities and settlements, the operation of Baku’s gas sector, communal systems, and domestic gas supply directly relate to the everyday living conditions of the population. Gasification, mainline transport, and underground gas storage remain relevant today, making archival materials instrumental in revealing the historical roots of current gas infrastructure. This publication is continued in the publications: 1) Publishing Contract for Scientific Editing (Baku, 1959), 2) "Pedagogical Activity of a Soviet Industry Executive of the AzSSR Gas Industry" and 3) "The Communal-Construction Technical College of the Azerbaijan SSR: A Source Study Analysis"," and also complements the monograph "Gasification and Operation of the Gas Economy of Azerbaijan (1955–1970): A Historical and Sociological Study".
