Structural Differentiation in the Voynich Manuscript Zodiac Section (f70v–f73v)

This successor carries one conclusion: the examined zodiac figures are not all decoratively identical. It does not establish constitution-archetype encoding. The earlier f70v1-to-f71r pigment comparison paired Pisces with Aries and is therefore not a matched LIGHT/DARK sign comparison; it is retained only as an exploratory cross-sign observation and contributes no independent evidence. The surviving-leaf record is infull, so this paper does not assign a specific absent sign. The M28 name/gloss is not used to identify a figure: the current packet contains competing internal translations and no adjudicated primary-text locus. The zodiac section of the Voynich Manuscript (f70v–f73v) is commonly described as calendrical or astrological imagery. This paper's internal audit records five kinds of differentiation in the inspected panels: paired LIGHT/DARK renderings for Aries and Taurus; container-holding figures recorded only in the inspected Aries LIGHT and Taurus LIGHT panels; 3–5 larger elevated figures in each of four examined wheels; an otedy row at f73v.23 carrying the lattice coordinate <!09:30>; and a clothed central figure recorded on f73v. These observations reject only the paper's narrow decorative-identity null for the inspected set. They do not establish constitution-archetype encoding, intentional cross-section routing, or fullness across uninspected or unresolved panels. The internal 12-sub-folio sweep table records four otedy strings: one at f72v1, one at f73r, and two at f73v; no uniform-null bootstrap has been run. Unreceipted comparator scores and unverified codex-level tradition placements are excluded from the evidence base. Per-figure mansion assignment remains a proposed follow-up requiring a labeled tradition comparator and reproducible image loci.
