ViewScape: Next Generation Foil

Abstract ViewScape is a 16‐mil thick advanced polymer laminate designed for high‐performance foil and façade applications where transparency, durability, and thermal efficiency are essential. Its multilayer construction provides outstanding tensile strength, solar optical properties, and long term weatherability. ViewScape distinguishes itself through superior thermal performance, offering reduced solar heat gain while maintaining clearity. Structural performance has been validated through biaxial tensile testing, demonstrating excellent load bearing capacity and dimensional stability under multiaxial stress conditions. This presentation will explore ViewScape's mechanical, optical, and thermal properties, supported by laboratory and field data. Case studies will highlight its integration into lightweight, transparent building envelopes that meet both aesthetic and environmental performance goals. As a next generation foil material, ViewScape enables architects and engineers more degrees of freedom in their designs with transparency, strength, and clarity in mind, aligning with the evolving demands of light weight transparent roofing and façade systems.
