Zinc-flux reactions

Abstract Zinc-flux reactions play an important economical role in the hot-dip galvanizing process for corrosion protection. On a laboratory scale zinc-flux reactions are widely used for exploratory synthesis and for growth experiments for larger (mm-sized) single crystals. Such crystals are used for direction dependent physical property studies. These features are addressed in the present micro-review.
