Sample‐Dependent Kondo Effect and Non‐Fermi Liquid Behavior in Single Crystalline Pr 2 Ir 2 O 7
We investigate Kondo screening effect in single crystals of Pr 2 Ir 2 O 7 with different cross‐sectional areas. Our results reveal that magnetic resistivity, ρ m , and Kondo temperature, T K , exhibit sample‐to‐sample variations, indicating a strong sensitivity of the Kondo screening to the sample‐dependent parameters. Both the temperature and magnetic field dependence of the magnetization are well described by anomalous power‐law scaling. Specifically, the magnetic susceptibility follows and the magnetization scales as , with the exponents satisfying the relation . The observed behavior aligns with the hallmark signatures of non‐Fermi liquid behavior associated with the emergence of a quantum Griffiths phase.
