Principios de aproximación proyectual sobre la obra Jørn Utzon. Incógnitas e incertidumbres resueltas a través del dibujo

In this paper, we provide a reflective perspective on the project strategies used by Danish architect Jørn Utzon in some of his most significant and impactful works. We critically review his language and use a hermeneutic approach to understand how he repeatedly utilizes his extensive knowledge of descriptive geometry to solve important issues, including those related to scale, programming, function, mechanics, structure, execution, and construction. When looking at Utzon's drawings, their fineness, simplicity, and elegance can cause us to overlook the complex considerations they contain. Utzon transforms complicated situations into something simple and readable. Through our analysis, we extract essential ideas that highlight the importance of technical drawing as a communication platform that Utzon uses to understand the pedagogical value of his profession, in accordance with the abstract depth of his thinking.
