Let Athletes Perform. Let Technology Measure

Brief Description. This paper begins with a spectator's simple frustration while watching athletics, swimming, skating, football, volleyball, archery, shooting and taekwondo. Some rules and competition formats look dull, unsporting, outdated, and detached from technological progress. Athletes can perform better and technology can measure better, so the paper asks why competition should still conform to inherited devices and procedures. The proposals were developed first and then compared with current federation reforms.English and Korean versions are available here.
