Thematic Landscape of Tech-Driven HR Innovations
The study investigates the impact of technological advancement on human resource management (HRM) by mapping technology-enabled HR innovation through a novel 5R model. Grounded in a critical review and analysis of published literature between 2010 and 2025, the research employs a qualitative design utilizing Grounded Theory. The 5R model serves as the thematic analysis framework to define, classify, and describe trends in human resources (HR) technology adoption. The analysis highlights the transformation in HR practices facilitated by AI-driven applications including chatbots, virtual assistants, remote work infrastructure, and advanced analytics. These technologies are associated with enhanced productivity, administrative automation, improved talent acquisition, employee development, and data-informed well-being programs. The study’s primary contribution is the introduction of a novel qualitative framework that integrates qualitative elements of technology-based HR innovation within an organizational context. As this study is constrained to insights derived from published literature, future research should explore technological readiness, ethical considerations, adoption barriers, and strategic alignment.
