How does cultural transmission impact learning performance? Evidence from the moderated mediation model
This study examines how cultural transmission affects learning performance using a moderated mediation model. Cultural transmission shapes individuals’ cognitive and social learning processes, influencing knowledge-sharing behaviours and cultural intelligence. As digital environments increasingly facilitate cross-cultural interactions, digital communication competence is a crucial moderator. Findings from the Education Faculty and the Tourism Faculty indicate that cultural transmission positively affects learning performance, mediated by both knowledge sharing and cultural intelligence. Additionally, digital communication competence strengthens these relationships, enhancing the effectiveness of cultural transmission in digital learning contexts. By integrating these key factors, the study advances understanding of the role of cultural learning in contemporary education. The results provide valuable insights for educators and policymakers to foster inclusive, culturally responsive and digitally competent learning environments.
